Amiso Counselling Service Joins Future Vision Ministries -African Child
It was very thrilling
for Amiso Counselling Services to join a team of service providers at Sunuzi
Primary School in Traditional Authority Ngwelero.
On 24 August 2023,
Amiso Counselling Services opened to offer psychosocial counselling for free to
local people who attended the function.
It was spirit calming
to see many people getting free OPD services right at the centre. While Amiso
Counelling Services was offering psychosocial support, HTC services, eye
related medical help were also offered by personnel from public hospital.
Much gratitude to Mr
Newton Sunday Sindo, the country director of Future Vision Ministries for organizing
the impactful function when we commemorated A Day of African Child. We also
appreciate impact you are making in the area on child education through your
programs.
We had a chance to
educate the gathered people on our role as a counselling institution to African
Child in the digital World. For example, some digital games teach our children
Mafia mindset. Some games and video show a step by step process on how character
committed suicide after getting frustrated. Children learn by imitating such
actions as it is difficult for these tender brained to filter information.
Thanks to our senior counsellor
Mr Pemphero Matonga for co-presenting with the team leader, Ganizani Misomali.
Much thanks to Zomba Social
Welfare office, Zomba CSOs, public and private service providers who impacted people
the area in different ways. In a special way, we appreciate effort of the
following: Zomba Private Ambulances led by Mr Siyaphera Makunganya, YONECO, Zomba
DHO health personnel and Malawi Police Services representative.
